1. About RunMyRental

RunMyRental is an independent online directory and information resource for people who own or manage rental property in Montenegro. It helps visitors discover property managers, cleaning services, maintenance providers, legal professionals and other property-related services.

This policy explains how personal information is handled when you visit the website, register an account, contact us, submit or claim a listing, or interact with the directory.

Website operator and data controller: RunMyRental (operated by an individual). For identity and contact requests, email info@runmyrental.me. Before publication, the operator must verify whether applicable law requires their legal name and physical contact address to be published; the brand name alone may be insufficient.

2. Information we collect

Information you submit. We may collect your name, email address, phone number if supplied, account details, messages sent through the contact form, business listing submissions, listing-claim requests, corrections, and documents provided to verify authority over a listing.

Account information. When accounts are available, we process account identifiers, login email, authentication and security records, account preferences, and activity necessary to administer the account. Passwords are handled by our authentication infrastructure and are not displayed to directory visitors.

Publicly sourced business information. We may compile factual information from publicly accessible business websites, official registries and other sources where collection and reuse are permitted. This may include business names, public business addresses, business websites, general business telephone numbers, service areas, services, languages offered, and advertised prices. Publicly available information is not automatically exempt from privacy law.

Technical information. Our systems may process IP addresses, browser and device information, request timestamps, visited pages, referral information, security logs, and cookie or similar identifiers where enabled.

We do not intend to publish private residential addresses, personal telephone numbers or personal email addresses of individual tradespeople merely because those details appear online. Individual professionals may be included where there is an appropriate legal basis and the necessary transparency obligations are met, preferably through their own submissions.

3. How and why we use information

We use information to:

• operate, organize and maintain the directory and its business profiles;
• respond to messages submitted through /contact;
• register and administer accounts, authenticate users and prevent abuse;
• receive, assess and process listing submissions, claims and corrections;
• keep business information accurate and reasonably up to date;
• measure website performance and understand usage, subject to applicable cookie rules;
• protect the service, investigate misuse and comply with legal obligations.

Where applicable law requires a legal basis, this processing may rely on legitimate interests (for example, maintaining a useful and accurate business directory and protecting the website), steps necessary to provide requested services, compliance with legal obligations, or consent where required (including nonessential tracking). We assess legitimate interests against affected individuals' rights rather than assuming all public data can be republished freely.

4. Public listings and their sources

Some listings are created by RunMyRental from public business information and are not claimed, reviewed, or approved by the listed business. Inclusion does not imply a partnership, endorsement, or certification. We may display the date a listing was last reviewed and identify information as unverified where appropriate.

We aim to use permitted sources, keep source records internally, and write original descriptions. We do not assume that photographs, logos, reviews or third-party directory content are available for unrestricted reuse.

A business representative or affected individual can request a correction, claim a profile, raise a privacy objection, or ask us to review removal of information by emailing info@runmyrental.me. We may request proportionate evidence of identity or authority. We assess requests under applicable law; we do not promise to retain or remove every listing automatically.

If applicable data protection rules require us to provide notice to an individual whose personal information was obtained indirectly, we will take the necessary steps. This website policy is not necessarily a substitute for individual notice.

5. Contacting businesses through RunMyRental

At launch, visitors can use the website's /contact page to contact RunMyRental. Business listing submission and claim requests are also supported.

A feature allowing visitors to send inquiries to listed providers through RunMyRental may be introduced later. If activated, we may process and transmit the information visitors choose to submit to the selected provider, and we will explain that sharing at the point of submission. Until that feature is live, we do not claim to route inquiries to third-party providers.

Links that take you directly to a provider's website or contact channel are governed by that provider's own practices.

6. Cookies, analytics and tracking

Essential cookies or similar technologies may be used for authentication, security and site operation.

We use Google Analytics 4 (measurement ID G-K7SD4S69YC) to understand aggregate site usage. Google may process analytics data outside Europe under its own terms and safeguards. The analytics tag loads only after you accept analytics in the cookie notice. Your choice is stored in the browser (rmr-analytics) so we can remember Accept or Reject. Clear site data or that key to see the notice again and change your choice.

Nonessential analytics will not be activated before consent where consent is legally required. Refusing analytics will not prevent basic directory browsing.

7. Hosting and service providers

Our primary application and database infrastructure is hosted on servers located in Europe. We use technical providers for hosting, database operations, authentication, email delivery, analytics and security as necessary. These providers may process personal information only as appropriate for their services and under applicable contractual and legal safeguards.

We do not publish our infrastructure vendor's name in this general notice. This does not limit any obligation to provide further information about recipients, processors or international transfers when legally required.

8. International processing

Although our primary servers are in Europe, certain support, email, security or analytics services may process data elsewhere. Where international transfer rules apply, we will assess and use required safeguards and provide relevant information on request.

9. How long we keep information

We keep information only for as long as needed for the purposes described here, taking account of legal obligations and legitimate operational needs. Directory records may remain while the listing is relevant; inquiries, account records and security logs are reviewed and removed or anonymized when no longer necessary. Specific retention schedules will be set according to the systems actually used.

10. Security

We apply reasonable technical and organizational protections, including access restrictions and encrypted connections where appropriate. No online system can be guaranteed completely secure. Please do not submit sensitive documents or personal information unless requested for a defined purpose.

11. Your rights

Depending on applicable law, you may have rights to access, correct or erase personal information, object to or restrict certain processing, withdraw consent, and receive data in a portable format where applicable. You may also be entitled to complain to the competent data protection authority.

Send requests to info@runmyrental.me. We may need to verify your identity before acting on a request and will respond within legally required time limits.

12. Third-party sites and providers

The directory may link to independently operated businesses and websites. Their privacy policies and practices are separate from ours. A listing does not mean RunMyRental controls or supervises that business. 13. Children

RunMyRental is designed for people researching or managing property-related services, not for children. We do not intentionally solicit children's personal information. Contact us if you believe such information was submitted inappropriately.

14. Updates

We may revise this policy when our services, data practices or legal obligations change. The current version will be posted here with its updated date. Where required, we will provide additional notice or request consent.
